Rate my room: what an AI actually scores

An AI rates a room on three things it can see: how tidy it is, how well it is lit, and whether the pieces in it agree with each other. RoomMaxx scores each out of 100 from one photo and gives you the single fix worth the most points today.

Why asking strangers gets you nowhere

Post a room online and you get taste back: someone likes the poster, someone hates the rug. None of it tells you what to do next, because opinions do not rank. A score does — it says which of tidy, light and vibe is dragging the room down, and that is the one you fix first.

What gets scored, and what does not

Tidy is the floor, the surfaces and whether anything is mid-task. Light is how much you have, where it comes from and whether it is warm or cold. Vibe is whether the colours and shapes in the room look chosen rather than accumulated. What is not scored: how much anything cost, how big the room is, or whether it matches a trend. A small rented room can outscore a large one.
